The Choir

The Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir was the first expatriate male voice choir on the coast and we have a membership of over 40

Although a few members read music, the majority do not, and so we have a number of methods to help learn the music including a computer software package called Noteworthy which can be used to play any part over and over again.

The Choir gave 10 performances in 2017. We rehearse every Tuesday evening from 17.45 to 20.00hrs (approx) in the back room of the Bar Mediterraneo in Teulada (30 mins north of Benidorm). Come along and listen in.

If you think that you would like to join our choir all we ask is that you like singing and can sing mainly in English. Click on "Contact Us" above if you would like to join us.

** Blacktower Sponsorship**

Choir members were recently issued with new ties, which have kindly been sponsored by Blacktower Financial Management, courtesy of Regional Manager and First Tenor Keith Littlewood.

Keith says, "I have been a member of the choir for 4 years. I originally joined so that I could relax away from work and relieve any stresses the working week brought. Joining the choir turned out to be the best move I have made during my 7 years in Spain, making many friends and being involved in some spine-tingling concerts that have often got the hairs standing up on my arms. I would recommend anyone who likes to sing to come along and get involved."

This is the 3rd year Blacktower have sponsored the CBMVC. Previously contributions went towards the costs of attending a choir festival on Costa Brava and last year they financed the purchase of new polo shirts. This year's sponsorship will also be going towards new lighting equipment.

Chris Threlfall

Choir member Chris Threlfall has been with the Choir from its very beginning in April 2007 but is now returning to the UK. Chris, apart from being an extremely loyal and reliable member of the Choir has been the Choir "Noteworthy" expert for many years. Noteworthy is the software package that we issue to members to enable them to learn their parts without having to read music, but each song has to be transcribed and uploaded and Chris was the expert. The Choir will be very sad to lose this valuable and loyal member and we all wish him every success and happiness in his new life "back home".
