Choir AGM
The Choir will hold its AGM on Tuesday 24th January. The evening will commence with singing as usual until about 8pm when the AGM will start.
Christmas with the Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir
In the run up to Christmas 2011, the Choir performed 3 concerts; for the Javea U3A, the Javea School of Bridge and the now traditional annual Community Carol Concert at Benitachell church. The church was packed to the gills and the estimation of 450 people attending is probably low. A Benitachell councillor stood up at the end and said that it had been the most beautiful singing she had ever heard in the church. Afterwards the choir had its Christmas party in the oriental restaurant, where the singing continued.
Concert With The Maesteg Male Voice Choir
On 14th October the Choir joined the Maesteg Gleemen MVC on stage at the new Auditorio Teulada. The concert was a 650 seat sell out and the performances of both choirs exemplary. Click on this link to hear us sing Anthem From Chess:
The Choir
The Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir is the only expatriate choir of this type on the coast and we have a membership of about 50.
Although a few members read music, the majority do not, and so we have a number of methods to help learn the music including a package called Noteworthy which can be used to play any part over and over again.
We have about 5 concerts a year and rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9pm in the back room of the Bar Mediterraneo in Teulada (30 mins north of Benidorm). We have a summer break in July and August.
New members are always welcome. All we ask is that you like singing and can sing mainly in English. Click on "Contact Us" above if you would like to join us.
