The Choir joined 8 other choirs from Norway and Spain recently at the Casa de Cultura Alfaz del Pi in the first International Choir Festival. The venture was the first of its kind but the Director Erlan Dalen wants to repeat the event in future years.
The Choir
The Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir is the only expatriate choir of this type on the coast and we have a membership of about 50.
Although a few members read music, the majority do not, and so we have a number of methods to help learn the music including a package called Noteworthy which can be used to play any part over and over again.
We have about 5 concerts a year and rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9pm in the back room of the Bar Mediterraneo in Teulada (30 mins north of Benidorm). We have a summer break in July and August.
