Claire Harkness-Post, Soprano and Flautist, studied singing and vocal technique with Nigel Perrin (The King’s Singers) whilst also studying flute, piano and guitar. Her musical career began at the age of 21 when she conducted the Bouxwiller Conservatoire Choir, France, where she also taught flute and music theory and organised singing courses. Whilst in France she was also the Musical Director of two exclusive choirs.

She has sung in many prestigious operatic and vocal groups in the UK and France.Claire also toured Eastern Europe performing as soprano soloist in Berlin, Prague and Warsaw. She has also performed in pop, folk and jazz groups and composed and arranged many songs and pieces of music performing live on UK radio.

Claire has been Musical Director of the Choir since october 2012.

Heather Butcher

Heather started playing the piano at the age of four. She trained as a music teacher at Westminster College Oxford studying piano under Dr. Elizabeth McKay.

Heather taught at schools in Buckinghamshire and was the regular accompanist for Wendover Choral Society for over 25 years as well as other local Choral groups including Leighton Buzzard Festival Singers and Halton Singers.

She has played for many Choral Workshops in the U.K. under the direction of musicians such as John Rutter, Ronald Corp, Mike Brewer, and former Kings Singers Bob Chilcott and Nigel Perrin.

Heather was Musical Director of the Male Voice Choir from its foundation in 2007 until October 2012.

Kirsty Glen

Kirsty Glen, Pianist and Organist studied music at Napier University, Edinburgh. As a professional musician she has played at many of Scotland’s most prestigious venues, entertaining famous actors, musicians and even Royalty. She also works with a top ceilidh band with whom she has performed throughout the UK as well as Cyprus and the Middle East.

Kirsty and Claire Post, our MD, Soprano and Flautist, form a duo called Dolce Divas. Dolce Divas specialise in Classical Music and Opera Favourites, giving recitals in concert halls and also providing Wedding Music, Romantic Chill-Out and Cocktail-Bar music for hotels and restaurants.

Kirsty has been pianist with the Choir since 2011.
