The Choir

The Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir was the first expatriate male voice choir on the coast and we have a membership of over 40

Although a few members read music, the majority do not, and so we have a number of methods to help learn the music including a computer software package called Noteworthy which can be used to play any part over and over again.

The Choir gave 10 performances in 2017. We rehearse every Tuesday evening from 17.45 to 20.00hrs (approx) in the back room of the Bar Mediterraneo in Teulada (30 mins north of Benidorm). Come along and listen in.

If you think that you would like to join our choir all we ask is that you like singing and can sing mainly in English. Click on "Contact Us" above if you would like to join us.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of John Power, one of the original Choir members and a loyal friend. John was a truly staunch member of the choir since its foundation in 2007. He was a Committee member for many years as Librarian and spent hours in his workshop manufacturing commemorative plaques for presentation to visiting choirs. Above all that he was a delight to know and have in your company. Rest in peace dear comrade.

Benissa Concert

The concert at Benissa Casa De Cultura on Friday 9th November organised by Jalon Valley Help was a great success. The acts were Valley Voices, Costa Barber Singers, Caprice, Dolce Divas and finally us, the Costa Blanca Male Voice choir. The finale with over 70 singers on stage was spine tingling. Over €2000 was generated for the charity.

Cave Concerts

The two concerts which took place in the Benidoleig Caves in mid June were a huge success. Both nights were fully booked two weeks before the perfomances. The atmosphere was electric and the performances were enhanced by the superb acoustics. Both nights had standing ovations. This winning formula for the Choir has been called for again next year. A donation of €750 has been made to the Benidoleig Civil protection who were instrumental in organising the venue.
